Red Cross Champions Pool Safety: Offers Free Lifeguard Management Presentation for Area Pool Administrators

AREA (May 1, 2008) – With area pools and swim clubs opening soon, the American Red Cross Colonial Crossroads Chapter is offering a free Lifeguard Management seminar for all local area aquatics managers and lifeguard supervisors on Tuesday, May 13 and Wednesday, May 14 from 6 – 9 p.m. at the Chapter House in Summit (695 Springfield Ave.).

The two-part course teaches effective lifeguard management and provides valuable information about how to keep patrons, lifeguards and aquatics facilities safe. Recently revised and updated, the course curriculum addresses management topics, sample records and reporting tools, and in-service training outlines on topics such as assertiveness, communication, fitness and emergency scenarios.
