Join the Red Cross Disaster Action Team

AREA (March 3, 2008) – When someone requires help, do you spring into action? The American Red Cross Colonial Crossroads Chapter needs volunteers to provide immediate help to local families affected by disasters, such as the March 31 condominium fire in Chatham Township. If you have the get-up-and-go to respond to emergencies at a moment’s notice, the Red Cross wants you to become a member of our Disaster Action Team.

Volunteers are provided specialized training and respond to local emergencies in Berkeley Heights, Chatham Borough, Chatham Township, East Hanover, Florham Park, Long Hill Township, Madison, New Providence, Springfield and Summit. With advanced training and interest, volunteers eventually can become part of the American Red Cross national disaster response team. “On-call” schedules are based on your availability.
