Medical Equipment Available on Loan from Red Cross

SUMMIT (March 27, 2008) - Six-year American Red Cross volunteer and former board of directors chairman Tom O’Rourke of Summit borrows a wheelchair for a family member recovering from surgery. The American Red Cross Colonial Crossroads Chapter maintains a Medical Equipment Bank stocked with expensive items that may only be needed for a short period of time.

Medical equipment such as crutches, wheelchairs, walkers and bath chairs are available on loan free of charge to residents of Berkeley Heights, Chatham Borough, Chatham Township, East Hanover, Florham Park, Long Hill Township, Madison, New Providence, Springfield and Summit.
