Local Red Cross Supports First-Responders At Tanker Accident
in Long Hill Township

LONG HILL TOWNSHIP (March 10, 2008) – American Red Cross Colonial Crossroads Chapter Disaster Action Team volunteers were on the scene of an overturned fuel truck Monday afternoon in Long Hill Township in support of first-responders working at an accident on Mountain Avenue. From 11:45 a.m. until 2 p.m., Red Cross volunteers provided lunch and beverages for approximately 40 area first-responders, including the Stirling and Millington Volunteer Fire Departments, Morris County Hazmat, Long Hill Township Ambulance Corp, and Long Hill Township CERT Team.
