Colonial Crossroads Chapter Lifeguard Training and Recertification

Course Information

The course has the following prerequisites:

• Minimum age of 15 by the conclusion of the course. A government issued document must be presented to confirm DOB.
• Swim 300 yds. continuously::
  • 100 yards crawlstroke using rhythmic breathing and a stabilizing, propellant kick
  • 100 yds breaststroke using a pull, kick, glide series
  • 100 yds of crawlstroke and/or breaststroke
• Swim 20 yards crawlstroke or breaststroke, dive to 7-10 feet, retrieve a 10-pound object, return to the surface and swim 20 yards back to the start, and exit the pool without using stairs or a ladder within 1 minute and 40 seconds.
